EIF3CL

Description

eukaryotic translation initiation factor 3 subunit C like

Summary

The protein encoded by this gene is a core subunit of the eukaryotic translation initiation factor 3 (eIF3) complex. The encoded protein is nearly identical to another protein, eIF3c, from a related gene. The eIF3 complex binds the 40S ribosome and mRNAs to enable translation initiation. Several transcript variants encoding the same protein have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Dec 2015]

Executive summary

  • EIF3CL was screened in 0 cell lines with 0 shRNAs, and 285 cell lines with 5 shRNAs.
  • The search for "Related features" MDPs resulted in the most predictive model for EIF3CL which had an out-of-bag R^2 of 0.28 (FDR 1.94e-02). In addition, this gene had a significant model when searching for the following MDPs: "Unbiased", "Related features", "CYCLOPS", "Paralog".
